iPhone 6 Mania

As most people know, the iPhone 6 and 6 plus have recently come out and it’s being sold out in stores all around the United States. This is Apple’s ninth and tenth iPhone since 2007 and it’s larger and slimmer than ever before, with a new retina HD display and an improved camera. The iPhone 6 has a 4.7 inch display and is 6.9 mm while the iPhone 6 plus has a 5.5 inch display and is 7.1 mm. Also accompanying the new phone is the release of IOS 8.  All these new features have people lining up in and around stores just for the hope that they will be able to bring it home. One person is Jason Hawkins who arrived at his verizon store at 4 a.m and was the second person in line. Most people had to wait overnight such as Michael Sharf, who was awaiting a 6 plus. This just shows that people care a lot about technology.

I have the iPhone 5s which was released in September of 2013, and I am completely happy with it. Considering this is my first iPhone and i’ve only had it for about four weeks, I felt no need to wait for an even larger phone. The iPhone 5s has some, but not many similarities to the 6 and 6 plus, one of which includes touch ID. Touch ID is where you can use your fingerprint to unlock your phone and buy apps and music. Other than that, almost everything is improved from the 5s. The truth is, Apple will keep updating their phones and their computers, one after the other, and people are always going to want “the best” and “the newest”, and some people might get them. But if you have an iPhone now, and you’re just dying to have the new phone now you don’t have to. Next year there might be an iPhone 6c or 6s, maybe even an iPhone 7. So don’t worry, one day you might have something even better.

Is your Iphone 5 Life Proof?

Many users of the iphone5 settle for a stylish case, which provides no protection to their phone. Having a protective case for your phone is important. A Lifeproof case can provide the safety to your phone that ordinary cases can’t.

Other protective cases, like the Otterbox, can provide protection too, but look funny in a huge bulky case that does not provide water protection. The Lifeproof case can protect your phone from drops, splashes, bumps and knocks. Also the life proof case keeps the slenderness and figure the Iphone already provides.

The life Proof case allows users to bring their Iphone5 anywhere, including the icy slopes or sandy beaches. The convenience of this case protects the phone from dirt, snow, water etc. All your favorite features of the Iphone are still at the touch of a finger tips wherever you happen to be. This case can protect your phone to depths of 6.6 feet underwater, and can survive a fall from 6.6 feet.

Overall I believe the Lifeproof case is a good idea for an iphone user to have. The case protects your phone from all kinds of dangers your Iphone 5 might encounter,  surviving drops, splashes etc. While still being as thin and light with the case on as it was originally.

CELL PHONES?

We live in the decade of electronics that surround us. Ipods, Ipads, computers, video games, 3D TVs, and cell phones. All these luxuries make our lives better. But letting young kids like in third grade own cell phones is absurd. Cell phones are used for emergencies only. Sales men and lawyers use cell phones for their work. So what will a little 10 year old kid use a cell phone for? Texting his or her friends? Cell phones are a device to use as part of jobs, for emergencies, and important situations. Why would any parent let their little kid own such an expensive device for no real reason for using it?

Many kids that are in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade own cell phones. Why? There is no reason a kid at that age should own one. I got my first cell phone toward the end of 6th grade. I got my cell phone because I was biking to school a mile every day [AKA for SAFETY]. Yet kids in lower grades have no set reason to own a cell phone. What will a youngster do with a cell phone anyway? Probably nothing. These cell phone owning kids think its cool to own one. “Hey look I just got the new IPhone 4s.” Who cares, you are in 4th grade why do you need that? They don’t. The parents of these cell phone owning kids at such a young age are teaching kids the wrong aspect in life by giving their kids a harmful device. Also, kids are clumsy at a young age and that new $200 IPhone 4s you just got him or her could be broken in days, or lost. All I am trying to say its ridiculous for a kid to own any kind of cellular device at their age. Sure let them own one at 12, 13, 14 and on but not at 9, 10 an 11. Kids in their teens can be trusted with such a device and have a better reason to own one. Going on dates, hanging out with friends, and being out of the house is a good reason to own a cell phone for important emergencies that occur often. Lastly, I disagree with any parent that lets their young-lings own an expensive device for no particular reason.

Identity Phone

A recent survey found that 2200 cell phones were lost and brought to the lost and found in the nations 15 biggest malls. 90% of those phones were smart phones. What’s amazing is that 50% of the lost cell phones were never claimed and most of those weren’t even locked to protect the information inside.People these days store all of their private information and should be at least trying to protect it. About more than a third of the 234 million who own cell phones have smart phones. These phones are the jackpot for criminals.

However there are many ways to protect your phone from criminals and just getting lost. You should treat your phone like its your wallet with 100 plus dollars in it. Also be careful what you download.  Do your research. Use a password on your phone to protect it from unworthy hands. Make sure you keep track of the info you put on the phone. That way if you lose the phone you’ll know exactly whats on it. Use the remote-wipe feature if possible and use GPS to track it down when lost. Lastly use common sense, don’t leave your phone on the table in the food court or flash around it’s fancy features. Personally I just stick to a basic phone, that way my whole life   isn’t stored in one place.
