Irish Dance

Irish Dance is a great, fun sport. Irish dance is just like any kind of dance, but it is done mainly with your feet. There are two types of shoes, hard shoes and soft shoes. In Irish Dance, the competitions are called feises. There is little feises and then there is major competitions. The biggest major competition that anyone can get to is the Worlds. Worlds is held in a different place every year. It has been held in places such as Ireland, Boston, England and more.

I have been doing Irish Dance for 7 years and I love it. Just like any sport, you have fun and hang out with friends. Even after all these years, when I get to a feis, I get really nervous. I love to watch the championship dancers dance because they are so amazing. I cant even think about quitting Irish dance because it is my life.  Overall, Irish Dance is a such a fun sport to do.

Take Me Home

One Direction's 'Take Me Home' artwork

The biggest band in the whole world, One Direction, includes four members from England: Harry, Louis, Liam, and Zayn, and one from Ireland: Niall. They are soon to release their new album, named “Take Me Home”, in less than a month, on November 13th! A few weeks ago, on September 20th, one of the songs, called ‘Live While We’re Young’, got leaked, even though it was supposed to be released on September 24th.   All of the directioners, the term used for One Direction fans, raced to the computer and watched the music video! Just a few days ago, One Direction spilled the names of the song names in Take Me Home. They included what the songs will be about, including a sweet love song and one dedicated to their fans!!!   One Direction will be touring the whole world starting on November 30th,  at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, which is a little after their opening of Take Me Home.

I am personally SO excited for 1D’s new album!   If only the tickets for the concert at Mohegan Sun weren’t all sold out. Well,  anyways, my favorite band member is Niall, who usually doesn’t get as many solos in the songs as Liam, Harry, and Zayn do. Although…in Take Me Home, he will be having more singing than usual. YAY! There are so many 1D fans in the world, ranging from kids in elementary school to older teens in college, including me and many of my friends. Have you pre-ordered the album on iTunes yet? If not, go do it!!!!
