Is it Ocean Destroying or Off Shore Drilling? You choose

Off shore oil drilling is a hot topic in today’s current events. It involves when an oil company drills for oil in the ocean off of a coast. Drilling for oil can prove to be very profitable and helpful to our economy, yet terrible for the environment. If an offshore oil rig were to have a spill, it would completely destroy almost an entire ecosystem, almost crippling the ocean. And it has happened before, just two years ago in April, the BP oil spill affected 16,000 miles of coastline and reeked havoc on the animals inhabiting the area.

Obviously, I don’t support offshore oil drilling at all. Why completely ruin our ocean when we have cleaner, safer, and cheaper ways to get energy? Do we really need to destroy some more of nature with drilling, because I don’t remember nature doing anything like that to us.  Most current events I could really care less about. But oil drilling was one that just couldn’t be accepted. Especially because I still don’t get why we need to ravage our coastline just for oil and money. Now ask yourself, are you going to let this happen?

Hydration Dance

Often dancers and other athletes do not realize that how and when is just as important as what you eat.  Going long periods without fueling your body can result in loss of muscle mass and increased body fat percentage.  Not only can this affect your energy level and performance, but this can lead to undesirable body composition and exposure to injury.  An injury can make you end up sitting out on a sport you love.  Not getting to play would be horrible and put you in a bad mood.

So if you keep an energizing snack in your bag you can always be energized and up beat. Then if you start to drift you can have an energizing snack at hand to eat, ready for anytime.  Also, when you are working out make sure you take a break for water.  It is recommended that you drink about a cup of water every fifteen minutes while exercising. Staying hydrated is a major part of exercising and being energized.

Oil, Its a Waste

One of the biggest things effecting our economy is the massive amounts of money our country spends on oil and other  fossil fuels. But, my question is, why? I know it is easy to use but think of all the pollution it is causing. For all we know it could kill us in a matter of years.  We need to find a better way to make energy… OH WAIT! We already have more! What about SOLAR or WIND or WATER!!! Never thought of that.

They are much safer for the environment and easier to use. The wind, sun, water, and corn oil (it has been proven to be used in place of diesel oil) is ENDLESS on our planet. So why are we using the little bit of oil we have and wasting it? We should use what mother nature gave us! Use our NATURAL resources that we have a lot of. How about we put solar panels on a car, or a turbine on a car so every time it moves it gets more power? WHY don’t we put little electromagnetic sensors in cars so every time the car moves it gets more power? WHY cant we do this? It would be SO mush easier then using all the oil left… plus stopping would help our economy… a lot. We would be spending less money on importing and exporting oil. So why don’t we just stop now?
