Donald Trump claims Voter Fraud from the Presidential Election

Just last week, January 20, 2017, Donald Trump officially entered the White House for four years. Not even a week being in the White House, Trump has already suspected voter fraud. On Monday, he called for a “major investigation” because he believes that millions of people have voted illegally. Back in November, Trump won the role of president by a majority of electoral votes (33 votes). Many questioned Trump as he won his role of presidency by 16 votes, why he even was running for president. Prior to running, Donald Trump hosted a reality television show, The Apprentice, for 11 years. He also is a successful businessman as he has built many office’s, casinos, golf courses, and much more. So why did he run for president? According to the NY Times, Trump ran in an effort to gain stature. Cleary, Trump has but is slowly losing it as he said that there have been a mistake in votes. So far, he has not cited or proven any key evidence to why this is possible. Over the course of two tweets, Trump wrote, “I will be asking for a major investigation into VOTER FRAUD, including those registered to vote in two states, those who are illegal and … even, those registered to vote who are dead (and many for a long time). Depending on results, we will strengthen up voting procedures!”

But what if Trump only won president with the help of voter fraud? Why would he be pointing this out? Trump exclaims that he is confident in his win and even if there was a voter sham, he still would’ve come out on top.  “You have people that are registered who are dead, who are illegals, who are in two states. You have people registered in two states. They’re registered in a New York and a New Jersey. They vote twice. There are millions of votes, in my opinion,” stated Trump. Later he went on saying to various media reporters that he wants voting to be legitimate and real because voting for a president is a serious topic to discuss and vote on. Though he is right about voting being a serious deal, why wouldn’t voting be legitimate? Trump said that he does not want anyone to be registered in two states, or dead people that are registered or illegals voting. This is accurate, but this doesn’t mean that at least 15 million people voted illegally this past year. Still no evidence has been proved but Trump still believes that he is correct. The new president has had a hard time grasping that others don’t have the same view on this topic. ABC’s David Muir told Trump that the author of the report found no incriminating evidence. Donald Trump later called him “groveling”. Just because the proof from the report doesn’t match his opinion doesn’t mean that David Muir is lying.

Trump has decided that he would like to speak with Republican Lawmakers in Pennsylvania and consider the best way to go about this problem. Hopefully there aren’t any further problems similar to this with Trump when he is in the White House. Who knows what’s in store for the United States for the next four or possibly eight years.

Solving The Immigration Issue

Throughout the past decade, illegal immigration has been a hot topic in our country. As of 2012, there were 11.4 million illegal immigrants residing in the United States. This amount will possibly increase substantially in the next decade if we do not take action. How are we supposed to lower the number of immigrants who illegally enter the U.S? Donald Trump, a 2016 Republican presidential candidate thinks a wall should be built in between U.S and Mexico. He says, I will build a great, great wall on our southern border. And I will have Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.” Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton has other ideas on solving the issue. She wants to secure our borders with more security, while also give the illegal immigrants a chance to become legal. She stated, “I am 100% behind comprehensive immigration reform that includes a path to citizenship.” Along with these two presidential candidates, many others have their own ideas on this topic.

IMMIG-BORDER
Although there are many ideas to stopping illegal immigrants from entering this country, I believe there is only one good idea. This idea is similar to Hillary Clinton’s idea. I think that the illegal immigrants deserve a chance at becoming a legal citizen. Unlike Trump’s opinion, I believe that deporting millions of these immigrants is the wrong thing to do. In my opinion, that is inhumane and unfair. Many of the illegal immigrants that enter the country are looking for a better life, and deporting them would not be fair. In addition, if we have secure our borders with more border patrol, without building a wall, the United States would be much better off. This would save them a lot of money as well as time. Overall, I think that the amount of illegal immigrants entering this country can be decreased, and the only way to rightfully do that is to listen to Hilary Clinton’s idea.

Will Donald Trump be Trumped?

As of right now Donald Trump is the GOP front runner. Meaning that Trump is the frontrunner for the Republican party. Although Trump leads,  60% of voters in a survey find Trump unfavorable, while just 33% find him to be the right choice for president.  Donald Trump leads his party by 15.8 points, but could he really be a president. Majority of Americans feel that Donald Trump is a racist, sexist and not the right choice, but he leads his party by a large amount.

My belief is that the real reason Donald Trump leads is his media popularity compared to the other candidates. Since Trump announced that he was running the media has been focused on Donald Trump and his campaign. Donald Trump constantly feeds the media controversial statements that lead to more popularity for Donald Trump. Donald Trump is getting nearly 15% more media coverage than everyone else which is almost three times more coverage than anyone else. Marco Rubio fellow candidate said in an interview that “ The media is enabling Donald Trump to destroy politics”.  Trump being well known outside of the political pool is also one of the main reasons he is winning the GOP. Trump has always been known to have a controversial personality, but add that to the big stage of the politics, it’s a gold mine for media. The media  alone has kept Donald Trump in the lead!

Is the United States Really A Democracy?

The United States Constitution has been amended 17 times, and they have all been for extremely important reasons, such as the abolishing of slavery, and the women’s right to vote, but is there another major flaw in the Constitution that needs to be amended? The thing that people see is  beautiful about the United States is the freedom. We get to chose our leaders, and elect our president, or so most people think. While we

do get to vote for who we want to be our president, the real decision is up to these people in the image to the left, members of the electoral college. For years different organizations and groups have tried to get rid of the electoral college, but none have succeeded. What the electoral college actually is and what they do are kind of confusing, so I will say them in simple terms. On election day, voters vote for the candidate they want to be president. Whichever candidate gets the most votes in that state, their chosen electors go to the real election in the first week of December. They will then cast their vote, presumably based on who they said they would vote for, but only 29 states actually require electors to vote for who they pledged too. Whichever candidate receives the most electoral votes is then the president. When the Constitution was written in the 1787, the electoral college was a good idea because voters had very little, if any, opportunity to learn about the candidates, so it was the job of educated, state appointed electors. This system is, however, now severely outdated and badly needs to be removed because of voters ample opportunity to learn about candidates.
The biggest flaw comes into view when you realise that 21 of state electors (not including Connecticut) can vote for whoever they want to, even if they pledged to vote for someone else. If you pledged that you would vote for a certain candidate, and you are representing nearly 600,000 people, you would think that you would vote for the person that the 600,000 people chose. What I don’t understand is when electors vote for someone completely different, and even sometimes someone who isn’t even running! You may think that this doesn’t happen very often, but it has happened in every single presidential election in U.S. history! You may also be thinking that it doesn’t really matter if one or two electors vote against whom they pledged to, because the vote has never been down to one or two votes, but it actually has. In the election of 1876, the electoral vote was 185 to 184, just barely giving Rutherford B. Hayes the presidency. I don’t know about you, but I would be very mad if the person I wanted to be president lost because my elector lied. I hope that after reading this blog, you can support those who are taking action to abolish the electoral college.

The Royal Baby, Miracle or Hoax?

Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born May 2nd at 8:34am at St. Mary’s Hospital at 8lbs and 3oz, Supposedly, there is  a conspiracy brewing in Russia on whether or not the royal baby’s birth was natural. Russian women are saying that Kate looked too good minutes after the baby’s birth for it to have been natural. They are also saying that Kate was walking too normally to have been carrying a baby, and that her belly was too large for a 8lbs 3oz baby. In addition,  people are saying that the birth time was off because the Duchess arrived at St. Mary’s at 8:32am and the Baby was born at 8:34 which only gives 2 minutes for her to conceive the baby. Finally, reports say that the couple left the hospital roughly at 10:15 which really isn’t enough time for the baby to be checked out by medical staff, and therefore it may mean that the baby isn’t from the royal couple.

I personally think that the birth was natural, but i am open to both sides. Some questions I have are: How was the royal couple able to take home the baby just 2 hours after birth, why did it take so long to name the baby, and why did the couple warn the media not to harass them? Although some of these things raise eyebrows I still think the birth is natural and Russia is just trying to find ways to beat up England.

An UnCaring Act From Obama

Americans are being forced to pay for others medical plans with their own hard earned salaries in a cumbersome plan called the Affordable Care Act, or usually identified as Obama Care. “TheAffordable Care Act was signed into law toreform the healthcare industry by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010 and upheld by the Supreme Court on June 28, 2012” (Obama). This plan requires citizens of the United States, who can already afford their own healthcare, to pay high taxes for the health care of others who cannot afford it for themselves. Obama Care requires residents of America to switch their present plan by the year 2015 unless it meets the requirements of the Affordable Care Act. Many Americans have already tried to go on the website for Obama Care to sign up for it and found it very difficult to understand exactly what is in the plan.  It’s very important to point out that even Barack Obama  has exempted himself from his own plan! Now, I know that teenagers reading this may be wondering, how does this apply to me? It does. Many kids just believe exactly what they hear and I don’t want anyone to just believe that ObamaCare is a great plan. It is good for everyone to know what is going on in the US. This plan presents multiple problems for the citizens of the United States.

I believe that this plan should never have been approved by the Supreme Court for multiple reasons. First, Barack Obama, the one who created the plan, has exempted himself from this plan! Knowing this, I just keep thinking to myself, RED FLAG! A giant, humungous, cherry red flag!  If Obama has exempted himself from ObamaCare, that means that even he knows it’s terrible. Second, it requires people who have worked hard in their life to provide for the needs of their family to pay higher taxes for the people who don’t have enough to afford health care. Now, these taxes aren’t just some small amount of money, this healthcare plan is costly. I have no idea where the “affordable” in Affordable Care Act comes from. Under this plan, even average citizens will be trampled under the costs of this plan. Citizens who have earned their salary and saved it should not have to give it up to people who have spent it on luxuries such as drugs, cigarettes, etc. There are some cases where it is kind to help another person, such as a death in the family causing money issues, however people should be able to choose to give to others, not forced. Kindness comes out of your heart. Citizens should not lose their money and become poor, in order to make another family richer. Lastly, many people don’t even understand all the parts of this new plan. There are so many loopholes in this uncaring act. Thus, Obama’s plan is just a path leading our country into disaster.

Government Shutdown

Today, October 1st, the U.S. government is shut down because it was not carrying out the functions of a proper government. The reason for the shutdown is because the government was not passing spending bills that fund the government. The House of Republicans suggested that Obamacare should have a reduced fund from the government but the Democrats want the exact opposite. Also, the democrats say that “the law will expand access to health care and help rein in the rising costs of coverage. Obamacare prevents those with pre-existing medical conditions from being denied health insurance.”

This made me think that the Democrats have better thoughts about this shutdown. Also, I don’t really understand why the government is shut down because if it wasn’t functioning why it’s supposed to then they should have fixed the issues earlier. Additionally, I think this shutdown is a problem because people have lost their jobs and some aren’t getting paid. However, Obamacare is well needed to help people that are in need of  health insurance.

Government Shutdown Killing People?

The government shutdown might have seemed like a silly fight between the Republican and Democratic parties, but could possibly be something deadly. Other than parks and many other national parks being shut down, clinical trials are also being put on hold, which is very bad news for the thousands of sick patients holding on to their last strand of hope. Many cancer patients and other sick patients with various diseases hope to find refuge in new and hopefully successful drugs that have been tested and found to work towards their own type of health problem. These drugs are still in phases where they are being tested but have been found successful, and to these people who mostly have little to no treatment options, they can only pray that this will be the cure, and it quite possibly could. Weekly, hundreds of patients are admitted into these facilities run by the National Institute of Health. According to NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, over one-third of the patients accepted in their clinic are cancer patients, and about 15% being children. About 15,000 employees of the NIH(National Institute of Health) are on a temporary leave as well. Numerous studies would have began this week, but due to this ridiculous shutdown, people must wait before once again receiving government funding to run these life-saving programs.

I believe that this is certainly absurd, and can not imagine how the families of these people are feeling. The government should stop this nonsense and agree with the other party about these things before things get worse, because ignorance should not have to be payed with these innocent lives. Furious cannot even begin to describe how much hate must go towards the government at this crucial time. Would you like to know that what you are doing could be taking lives away? Especially as one of the main concerns being talked about during the shutdown is funding for Obamacare, which is directed towards giving everyone the benefits of healthcare. Although some of these treatments could possibly be a failure, most of the people willing to apply for these clinical trials don’t have much of a choice in front of them. Most have already gone through countless doses of chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and much more pain. It would be very possible that they realistically had months, even days to live. Now with the government shutting down, they are being denied treatments when they most need it, for people that are battling cancer that have no time to spare and early treatment can save millions of lives. These days with the government shutdown, people in need of miracle may just not be able to get one, and who is to blame?

Government Shutdown

On October 1st,  the government officially went into shutdown.  How did this happen, you might be asking. Well, one of Congresses key duties is to help fund the government by passing spending bills.  If the bill doesn’t pass, most services of the government can’t run, such as funding agencies and processing passport requests.  The reason that this bill didn’t pass, causing the government to go into shutdown, was because the Republicans in the house are determined stop funding Obamacare, a law that requires all Americans to have health insurance.  In contrast, the Democrats are just as stubborn to keep the program running.  Some of the arguments the Republicans are giving, are that this will hurt employers.  Some also argue that the medical device tax that is included in the law for Obamacare, “basically sending jobs overseas.”  Some counterattacks that the Democrats are giving are that since Obamacare prevents people who have pre existing health issues from being denied health care, those who do have health care won’t have to indirectly pay for those who are uninsured.

Personally, I don’t really have an opinion on the matter of Obamacare, mostly because I don’t buy insurance or pay taxes.  I do know, however, that this decision will impact many others. Such as people who don’t want to pay extra taxes, and people who can’t afford health insurance.  I think that it was slightly unnecessary for the government to go into shutdown over this matter, instead of them coming to a consensus.  Soon, hopefully, The House will come to an agreement and the government will be restored.
