The 2 Best Sandbox Games: Compared

Terraria and Minecraft are by far the best sandbox games I have played. But which one is better? Find out here as we compare the price, game content, graphics, multi-player support, adventure, and creative ability.

Price is a very big factor when comparing these two amazing games.  Unfortunately for Minecraft, it is about 30 dollars as of now (15 euros.)  On the other hand Terraria is available for the cheap cost of 10 bucks. Both games you can buy gift codes for friends too. There is not much else to say. Apparently, Terraria has won this round.

Next is game content which is probably the most important part of both of the games. Both games have very similar qualities. Minecraft is an easier game though, it has farming, animals, weapons, cave systems, spells, and a wide variety of monsters. However, Terraria has both a lot more monsters and a lot more weapons plus boss battles too. Much like Minecraft, it also has caves and spells too. I say this round results in a tie. Depending on the type of gamer you are, you might prefer one or the other game.

To be honest both of these games have terrible graphics. Terraria is a 2-dimensional scroller (kind of reminds me of a Mario game) while minecraft is a first person game that can even be played in 3-Dimension with different graphic options to run fast or fancy.  In Minecraft unfortunately EVERYTHING is a cube.   I guess Minecraft wins this round, although I wish I could say they both lost this round.

Both games have fairly good multi-player support. On one side Minecraft servers can hold more users and on the other Terraria servers are easier to set up. Typically Minecraft servers are slower but they usually do not need the server administrator’s permission to join the server. In Terraria, you need to be invited to a server which usually takes a long time. This round has been tied.

If you like the thrill of adventure games, Terraria is the one for you. I’m not saying Minecraft has no adventure, it is just that Terraria has a more exciting twist to it. Elaborate dungeons and abandoned castles are some of the elements that make it so interesting. Unlike Minecraft, there are boss battles which challenge the player a lot more. However Minecraft did become more exciting after the 1.8 adventure update, but it wasn’t enough to keep up with Terraria. Terraria wins this round.

Building and being creative is what Minecraft is all about. The possibilities are endless, the world never ends. In Terraria, you have a limited space to build for the world stops at a certain point. Minecraft structures become these amazingly detailed, intricate structures. Once again since Terraria is 2- Dimensional it does not show creations in good detail. Minecraft is a mod supporting game. So in other words, there are millions of mods and server plug-ins to make your creations even MORE pleasing. Minecraft is the winner of the creativity round.

In my opinion these are both very great sandbox games. What one lacks the other one has. They have great multi-player support and great game play. Depending on your interests you might like one or the other game better. Personally, I like Minecraft better but what is your opinion? Have a look at their websites below.

Stores Freezing Out Ben and Jerry’s

Ben and Jerry’s came out with a new flavor ice cream. Many supermarkets aren’t buying it. The new flavor is The Schweddy Balls limited-edition flavor featuring fudge-covered rum balls. Many people had laughed at the idea that  was shown in a skit about it on “Saturday Night Live” because the skit was based on that ice cream. Some supermarkets though aren’t laughing and also aren’t putting the ice cream in the stores since it was introduced last month. A spokesman for Vermont had made a statement that Ben & Jerry’s says Schweddy Balls is only stocked in about thirty percent of the stores but its indeed the most popular limited-edition flavor so far.

I don’t know why only thirty percent of the stores sell this ice cream. I think that more stores should because I tried this ice cream about a week ago and I absolutely love it. I think that its definitely one of their best flavors yet. I know a couple more people who love It also and I think some supermarkets shouldn’t give this ice cream the cold shoulder.

This new flavor they came out with is just basically vanilla ice cream with a hint of rum and loaded with rum covered fudge balls and my favorite, malt balls. It has all this in one ice cream and as you can see some people don’t like that but its personally one of my favorites. If I owned a supermarket I would have my shelves stocked up with this because I think it would sell.

Why Does America Hate Obese People?

We all make fun of fat people.  It’s the harsh and brutal truth.  Obesity is one of America’s largest problems in this day in age.  Major issue.  Some of us just can’t put down the chips and ice cream, and who can blame them?  That stuff is amazing.  Humans love sugar and sweets and everything that is possibly not good for us.  There’s nothing wrong with having some meat on your bones (that’s not to say that obesity isn’t a bad thing because it is and should be avoided when possible).  But now people are being prejudiced against fat people, which isn’t nice at all.  All of a sudden the overweight folks are deemed unimportant, and the thin and pretty ones are the best thing that ever happened to the world.  The obese are put at the bottom of the waiting lists, the end of the line, and constantly abused.  I’ve met some overweight people once or twice in my life, and they are some of the kindest and funniest people I’ve ever met.  Why doesn’t anyone give them a chance?

The answer to that is simple: they’re just not considered pretty.  Humans tend to judge others by appearance, and stereotypes have a major impact.  I’ve heard that fat people are lazy, stupid, or nonathletic.  But what if that same fat person could sing like an angel in heaven?  What if he/she was an ambitious lawyer or successful business owner?  What if they were a professor, or a well-respected educator?  There’s more to life than sports.  And if you’re looking for beauty, look at the face, not the waistline.  Not only that, making fun of the obese promotes eating disorders.  I know from experience that being called fat hurts, and hurts bad.  In order to end it, some turn to anorexia (starving yourself) and others turn to bulimia (making yourself throw up).  People die, mind you.  Starving yourself or puking out your intestines aren’t exactly healthy ways to lose weight.  Salads and exercise just aren’t the most exhilarating things in the world, either.  Commercials make it look so easy to shed the pounds, and it’s absolutely not.  So maybe some people think that exiling the fat people will force them into healthy living.  Obviously that’s not the case, it just has the opposite effect.  What’s plan B?  Maybe we should be a bit nicer to the chubby and overweight people.  As far as I can tell, this prejudice isn’t stopping anytime soon.  We shouldn’t be proud of this unnecessary hatred, and if you are, shame on you!  It’s outrageous!  What have fat people ever done to you?  They’re not hurting anyone!  Stop harassing them and just leave them alone, for goodness’ sakes! What if you were obese?  YOU wouldn’t like it at all.  The abuse is endless and entirely unfair.  And nobody cares.  At least, that’s how it seems.  Isn’t anybody doing anything?  It’s just as bad as racial profiling!  Everyone seems to be ignoring it, or are too ashamed to face it.  We just let it happen, and what are we still not doing?  Stopping it.
